Free WA CDL Pre-Trip Inspection Practice Exam 2025
In Washington, major cities like Seattle, Tacoma, and Spokane are hubs of economic activity. The state has a well-maintained network of highways, such as Interstate 5, Interstate 90, and Interstate 405, which are often frequented by commercial vehicles. As a commercial driver, it is your responsibility to ensure the safety of your cargo or passengers, and it all starts way before you release the handbrake at the beginning of your shift.
The pre-trip inspection is a procedure where drivers thoroughly check their vehicle to ensure it’s safe enough for the upcoming trip. This inspection generally covers a walkaround, during which you’ll check the brakes, tires, lights and any fluid leaks. An interior check of all the gauges and indicators, seatbelts and emergency equipment should also be performed. To make it easier to remember, we recommend you learn this walkaround procedure and perform it the same way each time.
To obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), you must pass a general knowledge test and a skills test. We’ll help you with the pre-trip inspection part of the knowledge test, but you’ll have to perform this inspection yourself during the skills test.
Aspiring commercial drivers should already be familiar with the official 2025 CDL manual (Washington CDL Handbook 2025). They also know how difficult it is to study. One can spend countless hours without finding the answers to their specific questions or memorizing them successfully. Our CDL Pre-Trip practice tests are specific to the state of Washington. They can give you a significant boost in your learning journey, offering you an advantage over those who skip such opportunities.
Each consisting of 20 questions on the pre-trip inspection, these practice tests are designed to help you understand what this inspection is about. Take your time and practice as long as you want. You have unlimited attempts and the various features will make this experience easier for you. For ease of use, we have introduced a voiceover function that reads the question and the answer choices aloud. Additionally, by pressing the “SHIFT + ?” key combination, you will receive a complete list of keys you can use to take these tests by only using your keyboard.
